Day 5: A Favorite Quote

Happy October, everyone! I love this time of the year--the golden sunlight, the changing leaves, the crisp mornings and cool nights. It seems like it was just this time last year, doesn't it?

My mom had another ultrasound today, and we got some really cute pictures of the baby! Hopefully tomorrow we can scan them and I can post them here.

Anyway, now to my favorite quotes.

First of all, Bible verses. One I love is Romans 5:3-5, which is over on the right sidebar, and another favorite is 2 Corinthians 12:9-10:

9And He has said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness " Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.
10Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ's sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong.

I have so many others, but I'll save them for a later time.

It is growing late, and out of my scores of beloved quotes... I can think of just one.

"I dream of a tomorrow when chickens can cross the road without having their motives questioned."

It is quite profound, no?

  1. That is indeed a profound quote. I congratulate on so illuminating your mind with such sayings, and I trust you have many more. ^^

I love much of Romans, and much of Corinthians, and Phillipians, and Hebrews, and Jeremiah, and... all of it, for that matter. But there is so much to be quoted and remembered in there.

  2. Can't you just imagine it? A world where a chicken--be it rooster, hen, or chick--can cross the street whenever he pleases, without anyone inquiring as to his reason. Chickens should, after all, have the right to privacy, should they not? =P

    Indeed!
